Show Journal 2005-07-30
Looking back this show was kind of a blur. After spending 10 minutes picking on those less fortunate that us at Taco Bell we arrived inexcusably late at around 8:30. One band had cancelled and when we arrived the other two bands had finished and had already unloaded. Basically everyone was standing around outside for 15 minutes waiting for us. We loaded in as fast as we could and setup. With no set list we just took requests the whole evening which ended up being pretty cool. I love being able to play songs we don’t usually play. Tonight we did ‘Pimp Ray’ and ‘Destination: Space’ neither of which had been performed in a long time. The show got pretty rowdy and at some point I had someone’s blood on me. Gross. It was a killer time and I can’t apologize enough to the other bands for being so late. Amazingly we were out the door and headed home by 10. Thanks to Mae for letting us “harsh her mellow” and extra thank to “The Great Wall” for protecting Dave’s teeth.
