Despite not actually having an active drummer we’ve managed to line up a few more compilation CD appearances. Go figure? Release dates will be posted when they are available on our discography page. Also, it turns out we’ve got a ton of extra Long Sleeve T-shirts in size Small so we are selling them for $8 which includes shipping. They are usually $12 so if you wear a size small check out the merch page.

In the latest installment of “bad shit that happens to 800 Octane” we have to announce that Dan has left the band. His last show was this weekend and unfortunately we have had to cancel and/or postpone all of our upcoming shows. If you are looking for gossip there is very little drama to report. As you can imagine this also means we are now officially looking for a new drummer … again. If you or someone you know is interested e-mail us. Obviously when we find a replacement we’ll post the news but for the immediate future I think you can expect to see us laying low for a few months and writing some more new material. We have pretty solid plans to record a new full length album and an additional split CD this summer so we’ll just keep writing until the right person comes along. Now someone go and find us a drummer!

Thanks to all friends and fans of the Rick Emerson show for the great time this weekend. Next weekend is our return to Seattle. It’s been over a year and a half since our last show there so hopefully it won’t suck.

Happy new year everyone. If you missed the show then you missed our renditions of songs by A Flock Of Seagulls, Men Without Hats and Twisted Sister. The song selection is just more evidence that the end is near

Thanks to everyone who came to see our unplanned outing of 2 Bend shows in 2 weeks. Our next big show is Not Long After’s CD Release Party in Vancouver, WA and then comes the big New Year’s show. Rumor has it we are learning some wacky covers specifically for that show!

All in all our mini tour with Compact 56 and Coldsnap 9 was a success. Well, except for Coldsnap missing the last 3 shows!!! Thanks to all the new people we met who took a chance on bands they have never heard of and more thanks to the familiar faces who continue to support us.

Sucks to say but Coldsnap 9’s van is broken down in Montana with a dead water pump. That means they won’t be playing the last 2 shows of our little tour which is a total bummer. As you might have read they are breaking up after these shows so we want to take a second and wish them the best of luck. Eric, Cody, Derik, Adam and Kelly … thanks for being one of our favorite bands to play with!

Montana totally rocked and Spokane was even kind of cool. Thanks to all who attended the shows. Three more shows this week including the big one at the Paris on Friday. If you miss Coldsnap 9 then you are a fool.

Our December mini tour is approaching quickly and I can’t recall a time when so many people have asked us “Are you crazy? Do you know how cold Montana is this time of the year?” Yes, we know how cold it is there. Wanna see the current weather? (I swear there were some single digits on there yesterday). We are definitely stoked to be playing these shows with Compact 56 and Coldsnap 9 as they are both good friends and great bands.
